This young writers’ workshop helps kids express themselves through storytelling, journaling, and mini publishing projects.

Helping young writers find their voice, shape their stories, and share them with the world.

Why My Story, My Voice?

Each week, participants will learn the building blocks of effective storytelling, from creating characters and writing compelling narratives to editing their work and designing illustrations. Special spotlight sessions feature guest authors and illustrators to inspire creativity.
By the end of the program, every child will have written, illustrated, and published their own story to share at our grand Author Showcase.

What Your Child Will Gain:

Creative Writing Skills: Learn how to brainstorm, draft, and structure original stories with strong beginnings, middles, and endings.
Confidence in Self-Expression: Use personal voice and imagination to write with purpose and passion.
Editing & Peer Collaboration: Develop teamwork, editing, and constructive feedback skills through story circles and writing groups.
Illustration & Book Design: Add personal artistic flair to their story with cover design and visuals using digital tools or hand-drawing.
Publishing Experience: See their stories come to life in print or digital form, ready to share with family and friends.
Public Speaking Practice: Share their work with peers and families in a celebratory reading event designed to uplift and inspire.

Each child will becomes a published author, with their story featured on the MackennyTutors website, proudly presented at our Author Spotlight Celebration.
