1. Class Rules and Expectations

1.1 Punctuality and Attendance

• Classes begin promptly at the scheduled time and run for one (1) hour.

• Students must log in on time and remain present and engaged for the entire session.

• Eating or drinking during lessons is not allowed.

• Students must come prepared with all necessary learning materials (e.g., notebook, pencil/pen, eraser).

1.2 Participation and Conduct

• Active and respectful participation is expected from all students.

• Any disruptive or inappropriate behavior will be addressed by the teacher. If unresolved, parents will be contacted for a meeting.

• All behavior should reflect the values of respect, integrity, and kindness that form the foundation of our faith-based approach.

1.3 Technology Requirements

• Parents must ensure students have access to a stable internet connection and the required learning devices.

• Use of headphones and participation from a quiet, distraction-free environment is strongly encouraged.

1.4 Dress Code

• Students should dress appropriately for a professional learning environment.

• While uniforms are not required, clothing must be neat and non-distracting.

2. Class Durations

• Each class runs for one hour in accordance with international best practices for online learning.

3. Make-Up Class Policy

3.1 Teacher-Rescheduled Classes

• If a teacher is unable to hold a class, a notice will be given at least five (5) hours in advance.

• A make-up class will be scheduled at a mutually convenient time.

3.2 Student Absences

• Parents must notify the Admin at least five (5) hours in advance if a student will miss a class.

• A make-up class will be arranged only if prior notice is received. Failure to provide notice will result in forfeiture of the session.

3.3 Scheduling Make-Up Lessons

• Make-up sessions are subject to teacher availability and may not occur at the original class time.

• The Admin will liaise with both parents and teachers to find a suitable alternative.

4. Communication and Notifications

4.1 Notification Protocol

• All communications regarding absences, rescheduling, or other concerns must be sent via the official WhatsApp group and the communication portal on our website.

• Parents are encouraged to provide feedback or suggestions to help improve our services.

4.2 Contact Information

• It is the responsibility of parents/guardians to ensure that all contact details provided to MacKenny Tutors are accurate and up to date for timely communication.

5. Withdrawal from Classes

• Parents must give a minimum of two (2) weeks’ written notice to the Admin before discontinuing or withdrawing their child from any scheduled classes or programs.

• This notice period ensures appropriate planning and helps prevent disruption to the student’s learning continuity and class structure.

6. Policy Updates

• MacKenny Tutors reserves the right to modify or update these policies as needed to maintain the highest educational standards.

• All policy revisions will be communicated promptly to parents, students, and teaching staff.
